When I am dreaming something while sleeping, I feel like I am not in a real world. Dreams are strange but also interesting. An American writer Gail Godwin said, "Dreams say what they mean, but they don't say it in daytime language." Dreams can possess different meanings for each individual, but they appear in a strange and disordered way. Paying careful attention to dreams which I dreamt, I will be able to find some meaningful messages for myself. First, I will introduce some common essential characteristics of my dreams, such as colors and language. Next, I will explain and interpret two dreams which I have seen in this last three months applying psychological theories. Lastly, I will interpret two situations which often appear in dreams of different times.
To begin with, I will explain essential characteristics of dreams which I see each night. First, I will talk about the colors of my dreams. I cannot tell exactly, but I always dream in black and white. People who dream in colors say colorful dreams look exactly like sights what we see during the daytime. I can not recognize bright colors similar to the real life. Holloway (2001) states even though some people dream in colors, the images of dreams can come back to mind in colorless when they try to remember their dreams. If my dreams are in colors, they could have told more meanings.
